I do love Switzerland

We made it to Montreux - it is beautiful!!! It's rained on & off all day - and I mean torrential downpours with hail and lightning bouncing off the lake. It was a little freaky there for awhile. We left Neuchatel this morning and made our way to Montreux via Lausanne. Our hotel is LOVELY - very nice. We actually have a full on suite with a little kitchenette, a full bath and separate bedroom literally across the street from where everything is happening. We're a 5 minute walk across the street to where all the free jazz stuff is going on. I had MY HAIR done in braids by a pregnant woman from Morrocco - I think it looks pretty cool. So unlike my usual look, but I needed to switch it up a bit. I also bought another charm for my bracelet - a Swiss Chalet. The woman that sold it to me was so nice - she told me all about how she hitchhiked across the United States in the 1970s and how nice she thought everyone was. I loved her to bits. I took some amazing PICTURES - the haze finally burned off a bit after the rain this afternoon and it was so gorgeous.

I'm paying a LOT more for internet here, but I am so addicted, I can't help it. I'm paying 50 CHF (about $45) for 135 minutes of time. Can't help it...I'm addicted. What can you do?

Tomorrow, more concerts, we're seeing Van Morrison and Booker T and the MG's tomorrow night, and Saturday is the New Orleans Jazz Train up into the Alps. It's going to ROCK. I'm really looking forward to it. We booked our hotel in Zermatt too - did I mention that already (I'm writing this offline to save minutes). It's a wee Swiss Chalet! Hooray!
