Cranky Pants!!!

This morning I woke up and went to work. Most of the day, I felt like this:

Which is not unlike just being a big cranky-butt. I think it was more because I didn't want to edit footnotes for the Judge, I wanted to be at the working group for Transport Law - but the judge needed the footnotes done and I'm the girl. I can be uber-childlike when I don't get my way - I tend to be a biter. Plus - to add insult to injury - I was tired all day because it was cold in my apartment last night & I couldn't sleep. On the bright side, they turned on the heat while I was at work today, so I'm good.

I think I thought of a way to single-handedly save the United Nations hours and hours of leakage every year. Instead of congratulating the chairman of the working group over and over and over again (I swear, every country that opened their mouth had to be all kissy face and congratulate the guy...it's only the 400th time he was chosen Chairman. Hooray for Spain!!!), we will all stand and applaud when the newly appointed Chair-person approaches their designated seat. Done. We'll shave a good 3 minutes off each person's speeches - saving a good 300+ minutes per Convention. I mean - that's FIVE HOURS!!! Think of what we could do with five hours. We could serve 2 meals for half a starving country in 5 hours.

I'm so brilliant. I smell a Nobel Prize in my future. Yes, yes...you may all say that you knew me when.

I sometimes marvel at how incredibly stupid my generation can be. If you doubt me - just watch ONE television show on MTV. Just ONE. It is really not relevant which one - all will demonstrate the lack of depth in the entertainment. But if you really want to get the flavor - watch one of the reality-TV-show-esque shows. It will blow your mind. We're doomed.

Speaking of stupid, today I feel really stupid. I feel completely incapable of intellectual thought. I have days like this, where I wish I were smarter and better educated. Part of it may be because finally I am surrounded by a lot of very intelligent people and thus I feel compelled to catch up.
