OK - so sorry all ye faithful readers, I've been quite the busy little bee lately and now I may be paying the price for it. I spent much of last week enjoying evenings with friends - Tuesday a bunch of people came over for dinner, Thursday I had a date with that guy that I met literally on the street (quite the nice fellow, actually!) then went out to the compound where Justin - the legal intern to the US Permanent Mission - lives to play beer pong (oh, how the mighty have fallen). On Friday I met Marcy & Sandra - the girls from Czech - at Albertina and saw the exhibit, then we went for Sachertorte at the Cafe in the Hotel Sacher. Seemed like the appropriate way to celebrate Austria Day. Mona - the woman that I met from London - arrived on Saterday, so we spent all day that day and yesterday seeing the sights. I finall took some more PICTURES, which include some of the Belvedere and our horse & carriage ride around the city.
It's nice to be busy, but I'm feeling a bit over-committed right now. Largely because I need to get work done on my paper and I want to spend the time while Mom is here (she arrives Friday morning) actually with Mom and NOT working on my paper. So, perhaps my acquaintence's visit was poorly timed and I've had too much fun the past week. I need to really sequester myself away this week and get things done on it until Mom arrives. Mona is still here tonight and then she leaves tomorrow - so after tonight, I'm going to be curiously absent from all things social. For the first time since the Luggage Debaucle of 2007 I'm feeling a bit stressed out. I suppose that isn't horrible considering how long I've been here.
