Farmers won't cash out my big chunk o' change until I actually LEAVE the company. Like - not the day I give my notice, but rather the day that I turn in my key & terminate my employment. THIS is going to cost me some money, but I think it's the best I'm going to be able to do. I'll forfeit the 2 weeks of salary, but I have my vacation (I think I'm going to end up cancelling the week that I was going to take off to study for finals - that way I'll still get 1 week of vacation pay, plus the 2 weeks that I am taking now - total of 3 weeks). I am going to have to rent a car, but I can get a wee economy at Enterprise with my Entertainment Book coupon for $98/week - after taxes its going to be about $229. I just think that having 2 weeks to figure out the stupid Profit Sharing dilemna and just to sort out life before I go is wise.
I'm still peeved, though. I am taking my cash option for the stuff they are giving me this year, but they are being a stinky pain. I'm going to lose $229 plus the gas money, plus $1488 of income that I would have received - a net kafluffle of over $1700. Punks. That makes me a little cranky.
I'm a little scared to not have a job. What am I going to do when I don't have my paycheck rollin' in every 2 weeks? Ack! Freaking out! I need to save more! Spend less! Sell my soul on the internet!
Not to mention...I'm going to have to save some of this money to mitigate any bad, bad tax circumstances for next year. Sure, I'll make a LOT less money, but I'm going to pay SERIOUS penalties for this cash out of my money - OK - panicking. This is NOT GOOD.
OK ... deep breath.
