...I want to work in an office that both knows how to think critically, make effective judgments, and doesn't spend their time being degrading. So many of the people in my office have no respect for diversity of gender, race, culture...they think making jokes of these things are funny, I disagree. I would like to work in a place where collaboration is encouraged - not just superficially, but in actuality. I get so frusterated with this office sometimes. I am getting very tired of being the one that everyone goes to for answers - it is very flattering that they all know that I HAVE the answers - but it is becoming a waste of my time & often it is not that they couldn't find the answer themselves, but they are simply too lazy to find it - they would prefer to simply call me. Which very well may take the SAME amount of time.
Last night we all went to the St. Paul Winter Carnival - which was lame. There was no one and nothing really there. They get big money when they do the ice castles - but they haven't done that in a LONG time. Witness:
Yep - that is me on the end in the doofy hat & the whit coat. It works - at least my head was warm.
