Bridge climb time!

OK - so here's a bit of funny for all of you. While I was in the bush I was bitten by some buggies that gave me huge welts on my legs and itch like crazy. So, to be sure that this isn't anything that I need treated, I decided it best to go to a local clinic and went to the doctor last night and he told me I was attacked by sand fleas. Yep...I had fleas. They're all gone now, so he gave me some cream for the bites and advised an antihistamine. Yet another experience to add to my charts this year - got fleas!

Today is my bridge climb! So excited for that. It's been raining here for 2 days, but I rolled out of bed this morning and the sun is shining. There are a few clouds, but they are predicting sun and 60F today. I just need one day of nice weather to get me through my climb. I am so excited for that - it will be a great way to end the stay. I'm sad to be leaving Australia - I've really enjoyed it here. I wish I could have stayed longer. I should have just stayed right to the end of the month, but that is OK. Now I have an excuse to get back out here. I'm excited to get to Vienna too. Traveling is wonderful, but if done again I would certainly do just one place at a time. I have really enjoyed Edinburgh, London and Australia because I've stayed in one place for more than 2 or 3 days. That is just not enough time. Vienna will be lovely because I have 4 full and glorious months to explore. I'm heading off to Frankfurt on Wednesday & I'm there for 3 days. On Sunday I leave for Vienna and I'm in a hostel for the first 3 nights, then I move into my apartment on the 29th. Pretty excited to have my own kitchen and bathroom again.

Yesterday Lorelei and I did some shopping - I feel guilt because I'm still worrying about money, but joy because I found 2 cute dresses on clearance that are so cute and were really inexpensive with the markdowns. I spent just $130 Australia (about $104 American) for 2 great dresses. One for work and one for play. Oh well, it was worth it. I'm happy with them. My student loans should be coming in soon - they release them on the 31st (but then they are mailed to my dear friend Sara and then she will deposit them, I have to wait for it to clear the bank, blah blah blah - I won't have access to it until at LEAST the middle of September if not later). My issue with that is my student loan money is just that - A LOAN. It's not money I own yet. I have to pay the bank when I'm done. Grrrrrr....
