Yet another reason to love this hotel!

So, I went to the desk this morning to see if they could hold on to my luggage for a bit seeing as my flight doesn't leave until 10:00 tonight - and they offered to allow me to stay in the room until I was ready to check out free of charge! Seriously - until 5:00 when I'm ready to go to the airport. So I have my room for the remainder of the day to hang out, check email, take a nap, whatever I need to do. I like them so much that I made reservations for my return trip. I have 3 days before I have reservations in Vienna. I must say, I am impressed with the service here.

Leah sent more pictures of little Anders. I'm so happy for them. They look so happy - maybe just a bit sleep deprived from the pictures of Matt sleeping with the baby, mouth hanging open. This is such a big time for them. So much has happened this year! It hasn't even been a year since she was in the hospital with viral meningitis! Now she's married with a baby! It's so weird to think of her as a MOMMY. A little like the Twilight Zone. But I'm all happy - warm and fuzzy - for them!

Well, today I leave for Australia. I think I'm all set. The luggage restrictions on this flight are nuts. 20 K for my checked bag (44 lbs), 8 K (17 lbs) for my carry on (that shouldn't be an issue, but my computer weighs 6). But then I can carry a handbag - so I went out and bought one because I haven't been using one really. Just that sling-thing. I bought a substantial sized city bag from LaCrosse. TaDa! Handbag. I have my toothbrush in there, some toiletries, clean socks - I know. Weird. But I'm traveling forever. I leave at 10:00 tonight and then when I actually arrive it's 2 days later there. I want to be able to put on deodorant and change my socks, brush my teeth - whatever - in Singapore. I don't want to haul up on in there totally gummy. Ick. It blows my mind that in 48 hours I'm going to be halfway around the world on another continent! There are kangaroos there! The girls from Melbourne said that when they went to London, all they wanted to see was a squirrel, so they could understand the need to see a Kangaroo. They assured me it shouldn't be an issue.

OH! 3 of my 4 grades are in from the summer - check it out!
4330 International Environmental Law 2.00 A-

Whee! Just waiting on the Comparative US and UK Constitutional law. Here's hoping I get an A. Hee hee! Best "semester" on record!

congrats on your super grades! Glad you're having fun. I've heard that kangaroos in Australia are similar to that of deer in upstate new york. You'll have to tell me if its true.
